Vice beats and Paradox – Copy/Paste feat. NAHreally and JabbaThaKut

Copy/Paste is a transatlantic collaboration from Bristol, UK based producer Vice beats, alongside Colorado, US based lyricist Paradox. The song explores the suppression of creative ideas through repeated copied processes, with simple ideas being duplicated as opposed to original creative ideas.

The song features New Jersey based, self-professed regular-guy rapper NAHreally, and the UK based scratch scientist DJ JabbaThaKut, a mainstay collaborator of Vice beats.

Vice beats, an established UK producer, created the only official UK based J Dilla tribute to date (Dilla: The Timeless Tribute), and continues to collaborate with the Yancey family. He has collaborated with the likes of Blu, A-Plus (Souls Of Mischief), Akil Tha MC (Jurassic 5), Dizzy Dustin (Ugly Duckling) and many more. His music spans Hip Hop and Soul, and includes TV production placements in 80+ countries. He’s received support from Chuck D, DJ koco, DJ Premier, KRS One, Gilles Peterson, DJ Eclipse and many more, plus featuring in various editorial playlists, alongside worldwide placements in all Adidas stores and the Universal Hip-Hop Museum in NY.

From witty worldplay, braggadocious punchlines, and jazzy boom bap jams, to heartfelt storytelling, thought-provoking introspection, and serious listening music, high school teacher and emcee Paradox has been creating Hip Hop for over 20 years. The list of those he has collaborated with during that time reads like a who’s who of underground heavyweights, including Blu, Von Pea (Tanya Morgan), Wordsworth, Myka 9 (Freestyle Fellowship), Vursatyl (Lifesavas), Awon, Tab-One (Kooley High), Jabee, Supastition, nobigdyl., and others. “Teach kids by day. School heads by night.”

Copy/Paste will be released digitally and on Bandcamp on Friday 21st March via HHV Records, featuring artwork from Michael Tandiama with the track mastered by Chris Latham of Cosmic Trigger Audio.
