Greatness is the latest release from Bristol, UK based producer Vice beats and London based lyricist Christopha. The song speaks of determination, commitment and striving for greatness through everyday activities with longer term goals in mind, reflecting on the past for the hope of
a better future. This is different production to what has been heard from Vice beats previously, and the duo’s collective sound brings a fresh and lyrical, introspective feel.

Both artists have been prolific with their musical offerings, with Christopha fresh off the back of 26 Miles and Running, releasing a track every fortnight for the entirety of 2023 followed by a range of single releases, and a new project on the horizon. This alongside Vice beats who has already released an album and 4 additional singles in 2024, with more plans for the remainder of the year.

Christopha has received critical acclaim for his distinctive style, fusing influences from Grime, UK Rap and the roots of Hip-Hop. At the end of last year he was featured in BBC 1Xtra’s Introducing Cypher at Maida Vale alongside some of the country’s most talented upcoming MCs. This in addition to regular 1Xtra and BBC Introducing support alongside a range of DJs and tastemakers supporting him. His witty and insightful rhymes have seen him recently return to the live scene, with a handful of memorable performances across London and Bristol.

Vice beats has been receiving a wide range of critical acclaim and support from tastemakers worldwide including Gilles Peterson, DJ Koco, DJ Premier and more, alongside Spotify editorial and radio support from the likes of NTS Radio, Spotify’s New Music Friday, Jazz Rap and Next Wave Soul playlists, being playlisted in Adidas stores worldwide and being a spotlight artist on BBC Introducing 3 times over. Vice beats officially supports J Dilla’s family through releases and live events and continues to create events and music on behalf of the James Dewitt Yancey Foundation.
