Lyric Jones, multi instrumentalist, DJ, singer-songwriter and esteemed MC recently linked with Soul Clap to release her uplifting soulful house anthem “Better Now”. Ian Wallace’s remix of the track is one of several forthcoming in an upcoming remix package due in mid September on Soul Clap Records including turns from Zo! & Tall Black Guy and Soul Clap.

Brooklyn based Wallace, is a long time collaborator with “Better Now” producer OP! and has remixes under his belt for B. Bravo, LION BABE, Ben Wallace, Emmavie and many others. Here, he surrounds Lyric’s ascendant vocals with a late night vibe brought forth by his deep jazzy piano chord progression that is awash in warm and cosmic synths. A subsonic bass line and four on the floor beat takes “Better Now” into mid tempo deep house territory while retaining its crisp Neo soul edge.
