About: “The concept for the Athens video came from the 90’s golden era Hip Hop videos we loved. Videos like “Bonita Applebum” by A Tribe Called Quest & De La Soul’s “Me Myself and I” had a breezy, DIY aesthetic, which we loved. The track had a throwback vibe, and we wanted to cross that influence with a modem lyric video. The lyrics had a bit of “triumph”, but without being overt, so we threw in random animations and images onto the pastiche with no thought at all!” (Alan Capriles)
