The first release since critically acclaimed sophomore album, RUDEBWOY, Brooklyn artist CJ Fly is gearing up to return with new single “Bamboo Tree.” Out today September 25th, via a collaborative partnership with Soundcloud, “Bamboo Tree” sees CJ continue to expand on his Caribbean roots with a reggae inspired single.
Produced by Parris, “Bamboo Tree” marries traditional reggae steel drum instrumentation with tongue-in-cheek bars written and performed by CJ. Infused with the spirit of the islands, “Bamboo Tree” proves to be a capstone single of summer and sets the next stage for the evolution of the artist’s sound.
“Bamboo Tree” follows CJ’s spring 2020 Statik Selektah produced album RUDEBWOY. The album, a fusion of the artist’s traditional New York style and reggae, was praised and supported by Billboard, Complex, FADER, Hypebeast, Hot New Hip Hop, and more.
