Funk legend Steve Arrington’s album Down to the Lowest Terms: The Soul Sessions is essentially decades in the making, first envisioned by Steve as a young man. The recording took place in 2019-2020 in collaboration with a cast of a new generation of talented producers, orchestrated with the help of Stones Throw founder Peanut Butter Wolf.

On “Keep Dreamin” (produced by Shibo) Arrington’s message is simple: “No matter what, No matter how long it takes, I stay focused and put in the work for dreams to come true.”

“Soulful I Need That in My Life” is produced by Jamma-D, and “Make a Difference” is produced by DJ Harrison. Other producers include Knxwledge, J Rocc, Shibo, Jerry Paper, Brian Ellis, Gifted & Blessed, and Benedek. Album cover by Dewey Saunders.
