“I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since my last release. For several years, I was caught in a cycle of creating albums in under three months, promoting them for three months & touring for 6 months. With the announcement of my wife’s pregnancy in 2017, I decided I needed some time off.
I’ve had three years to be a father, husband, friend & musician. When I finally felt I had found a balance, my life & everyone else’s was thrown off course. “Odd Cure” was written & produced after I had arrived from a show in Thailand on March, 9th 2020. I had no idea that would be my last show of the year.
Worried that I might be carrying Covid-19, I quarantined in my studio for 14 days. It was within those two weeks that I FaceTimed my wife & child, Called my family, House Partied with friends I hadn’t spoken to in years & made this record. This project encapsulates where I was mentally & physically at this point in our shared history. I’m honored to share this record with you all as well.”
