This limited 7″ record hosts two west coast heavy weights. Side A, Maintain features Vursatyl (Life Savas). In my opinion, Vursatyl is one of the greatest MC’s out there. The man has style, vocabulary, and knows how to paint with words stories. On this track, he paints a realistic picture of black modern American society. While it seems grim, Vurs has the outlook to keep moving forward. As well, one of my favorite DJ’s, Red C shines on the ending of this track with some masterful scratches.

Side B features Trailer Limon on, When The Light Goes Out. Trailer has been putting out hit after hit for the past year and though this track veers from his normal dance discography, it is no exception. Trailer speaks on the struggles of man and how society can weigh on an individual so heavy, they may try to take their own life. In the end, there’s always something to hold onto.
