Duckwrth’s newest project, The Falling Man, is out today via Republic Records. Paralleling the ups and downs of an artist to a king, Duckwrth addresses his fear of falling as quickly as he rises. Taking universal themes like power and corruption, love and death, and courage and heroism, Duckwrth scores big, cinematic sounds to tell stories both familiar and forgotten. From “NOBODY FALLS,” a track about not wanting to be constrained by anything, not even love, to reality checking numbers like “KING KING” and “SALLIE MAE,” Duckwrth challenges himself emotionally and sonically by laying down intricate thoughts next to fusions of orchestral strings, 808s and disorted bass lines. The Falling Man includes production from Medasin, Mr. Carmack, NoMbe, Two Fresh, strings from Harlan Silverman and features guest appearances from Terrace Martin, Rico Nasty, Allan Kingdom and Kiana Ledé.
