Kero One – Kero Onethology (2003-2018) teaser

In the early 2000’s when there was no Youtube or Soundcloud, Kero One managed to make a humble mark in the hiphop world against all odds. A Korean-American who grew up on skateboarding culture, Kero self-released his first official vinyl release in 2003 when there were less than a handful of artists making jazzy or lo-fi hiphop and very few Asians professionally rapping and producing in the world. Though independent and very DIY, Kero quit his day job as a web designer and never looked back, performing from Europe to Japan and receiving cosigns from some of musics most influential names (i.e. Stevie Wonder). Soon enough, Kero was known for his jazzy vibes and mellow study beats laced with musical live instrumentation. Throughout Kero’s hand picked 15 year anthology, we witness how Kero has maintained his jazzy and feel good roots but continuously evolved as a musician, embracing everyone from underground hiphop, to unsigned youtube talent, and even Kpop artists who are now considered legends in Korea. “Onethology: 2003-2018” includes two new tracks from 2018 (“A New Day Dawns”, “4ever After”) as well as an never heard before alternate vocal version of “Tempted” from 2007. Onethology is the definitive collection of Kero One tracks collected together into one album. Follow Kero on Instagram @KeroOne for more.
