TiRon & Ayomari – Holocene (Is The List Closed?) feat. Captain Is Cool
As much as we all publicly embrace individuality there is a need to be accepted that is extremely addicting. The value of the collective has been depreciating and our glorification of the self has been rapidly increasing. Everyone is famous and everyone has a tv show waiting to go viral. We share our personal business and then complain about people being in our business. We show up to gatherings and immediately hop on our phones to take pictures to prove how much “fun†we’re having without ever really having fun. We are always as they say in Hollywood, on. Andy Warhol was right, everyone in the future will be famous for 15 minutes. Not because the quality isn’t there but because our attention span isn’t. We live in abundance but always have a hunger for more. Overdosing on our own superiority. The cult of the self is real.
