SUPER: Fat Joe | Mass Appeal

“Me, personally, I think I’d be the invisible man,” says Fat Joe, as he mulls his hypothetical superhero options out loud. “Spiderman gotta do this, Superman gotta fly, Batman gotta drive… But you’re just like, gone,” he says excitedly, snapping his fingers as if he was making an actual attempt at disappearing into thin air.

To most, Fat Joe already has a superpower: hitmaking. The Bronx born and bred rapper, easily one of the most revered hip hop stars to ever come out of New York City, has delivered hit after hit and moment after moment for the better part of the last two decades. Even as recently as the summer of 2016, Fat Joe was responsible for one of the great anthems in recent memory, a triumphant reunion with Remy Ma, “All The Way Up,” the impact of which was felt so profoundly it drew a remix verse from Jay-Z.

But on the latest episode of SUPER, Joe’s looking to go all the way up in a different manner. “I could be the invisible flying man? I would do that in one second, I’d go to Dubai now, in two minutes.”

“It could get real interesting, you could do anything you want.” Enjoy the latest episode of SUPER, now.
