Lt Headtrip – Stone Palace [video]

Lt Headtrip retreats into his safe space, a post industrial hellscape, in his new music video for “Stone Palace.” Like the hard edge of a worn out eraserhead, he has become hardened as he comes to terms with his missteps and past mistakes, secluded in a makeshift home of cement and garbage. Director Mike Petrow expertly captures the experience of a shameful, self-imposed isolation in a major city, giving the viewer a disturbing yet familiar feeling, matching the Filthbeast’s dark but catchy self-produced track.

“I spent years crashing on friends’ couches and lowering my standards to spend the night in a decent bed, all while embodying sympathy and selflessness. Once I established my own home, i found myself secluded and unsympathetic. This song details my struggle to find a middle ground between self-care and outward compassion.”
