Rock Mecca – Iron World [album] (ft. Roc Marciano, Canibus, Tragedy Khadafi, Vast Aire, Mach Hommy & Kool Keith)
Hard and cold is the world and Rock Mecca’s sophomore album “Ironworld†provides the perfect soundtrack for anyone trying to conquer it.
Centered around the concept of survival of the fittest, the album is themed in battle which appears throughout the album in the form of sports references, the street life, gladiator battles, martial arts and the bloodsport of rap.
The soundscape is provided by producer-on-the-rise Jake Palumbo (Ras Kass, Masta Ace, El Da Sensei, Reef the Lost Cauze) who creates the ominous, cinematic backdrop for Rock’s lyrical tour the force.
The carefully selected guests on the album include ultra lyricist Canibus, street poets Roc Marciano and Tragedy Khadafi, as well as abstract wordsmiths Vast Aire (of Cannibal Ox), Mach Hommy and the legendary Kool Keith.
Representing the struggle and grind to get to the top, the stunning album cover is a piece of art in it’s own right and perfectly captures the mood and feel of the record.
Ironworld is competition and combat. The album is thirteen tracks of carefully crafted, hardcore Hip-Hop and is Rock Mecca’s second release.
