Uncommon Nasa – Speak Your Truth [video]
Uncommon Nasa’s most critically acclaimed album to date “Written at Night” unfolds another piece of the mystery with the “Speak Your Truth” music video.
Somewhere between a nightmare and a hangover you find “Speak Your Truth” another visual collaboration between Uncommon Nasa and director R.M.L. The video is a continuation of the story started in the “Grown Apart” music video. The gloomy atmospheric production of the song matches the wet concrete streets and sidewalks of the New York City background. Heavily inspired by the filmmakers Wayne Wang and David Lynch, and a homage to loneliness in itself.

“Written At Night” is Uncommon Nasa’s fourth studio work and first that is fully produced by himself. It features collaborations with Open Mike Eagle, Guilty Simpson, Oh No, Quelle Chris, billy woods, Mike Ladd and many more. This album is a one time only combination of uniquely talented people working together to create high quality songs around a central theme, produced and concepted by Uncommon Nasa.
“It was an awesome challenge producing, concepting and rapping with the talented folks we were able to assemble on here. Waking up every day to create something new that could be used as the basis to collaborate with an immensely talented person will always be a memorable time period in my life. I believe I captured an honest picture of that process with “Written At Night”. The theme of the record is hitting on those over night hours where creativity, along with everything else, runs loose in our brains and thoughts of anger, hope, fear, resolve and even terror bleed into one blurry vision revealed when the sun does eventually back come up.
