Mega Ran – Old Enough ft. Ceschi & Sammus [audio]

Sammus, Ceschi Join Mega Ran on Working Class Rap Anthem “Old Enough”

“Old Enough that I know better, young enough to do it anyway…”

This could be the working class rap anthem for 30+ artists that no one ever knew they needed. Indie rap stars Sammus, Ceschi and Mega Ran join forces to lament on how much of their success isn’t what it’s cracked up to be, as they experience the same small and large-scale failures we all do. Ran admits to “learning as I go along,” while Ceschi laments on the hard times we face “cause our government doesn’t support art,” and Sammus glides by the seat of her pants on an awesome verse about knowing when and when not to collaborate, and all who know the feeling will sing along.

The cover art is a 2008 painting by Gunnella, an Icelandic artist greatly inspired by the stories her grandparents told. The painting is entitled “Life Goes On.”

The song, produced by Ecid, appears on Mega Ran’s new release “Extra Credit,” containing 11 tracks Ran recorded at various stages of life, featuring an eclectic range of guests that reflect Mega Ran’s many sides: J-Live, Homeboy Sandman, The Writers Guild and even singer SisQo appear on the album.
