LA’s own, Moniquea, recently released her album “Blackwavefunk” via MoFunk Records. The album was mostly produced by XL Middleton with extra help from Turquoise Summers, Eddy Funkster, and Brian Ellis.

The album continues to expand upon the Boogie / Modern Soul sound alongside New Wave and Synth Pop of the 80s.

Today, check the music video for the song “Checkin’ Out” which was directed by Kid Boogie.
