Los Angeles’s own Moniquea established herself as one of the leading female artists in the modern funk scene with her 2014 MoFunk Records debut album “Yes No Maybe.” Moniquea and MoFunk Records are proud to announce her new album “Blackwavefunk” which will be released on June 2nd. The upcoming album continues to explore and expand upon the boogie/modern soul sound of her debut, and at the same time, ventures bravely into a new sound inspired by new wave and synth pop sounds of the 80s. Thus, the album title: Blackwavefunk.

The album was mostly produced by MoFunk Records head, XL Middleton, with additional features and production from Turquoise Summers, Eddy Funkster and Brian Ellis.
