CyHi The Prynce – Nu Africa ft. Ernestine Johnson [video]

G.O.O.D. Music artist and critically acclaimed rapper/songwriter/producer, CyHi The Prynce releases the extended album version of the video, “Nu Africa,” off his highly anticipated debut album, No Dope On Sundays, due out this summer. Earlier this month, the audio for “Nu Africa” premiered exclusively on Pitchfork. If you haven’t heard it, listen to the single HERE. With more than 200,000 streams in just a couple weeks, the politically charged tracked has been featured on top playlists from streaming partners including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Pandora.

Directed by Malcolm R. Jones, the “Nu Africa” visual premiered exclusively on BET. It opens with an innocent young man running away from the police, a frequent occurrence in modern America. As he sprints away, peaceful protests around the city become the backdrop to CyHi’s politically and racially charged lyrics. Finally, as the community starts to assemble at the party to embrace their roots and each other, you can hear CyHi staunchly exclaim, “Tell the Motherland that a ni–a coming back for her.” #NuAfrica
