Artifacts + McDonald’s Netherlands – New York Flavor [video]
The Legendary American Hip Hop-group ‘Artifacts’ have released a new track together with Denise Weeks. A rising star who, not so long ago, made a living by singing in the New York subways and is now becoming a national superstar after she blew away Simon Cowell in the American X-Factor.
Because of their love for the city, McDonald’s Netherlands asked them to team up for a major advertising campaign, promoting the new ‘New York Bagel Supreme’ and that real ‘New York Flavor’. In the video for the song we see New York through the eyes of the performers as well as footage taken from the recording of the song.
The single ‘New York Flavor’ is a tribute to their hometown and urban street-art in particular. El Da Sensei, Tame One and DJ Kaos made a name for themselves in 1994 with their track ‘Wrong Side of Da Track’, a tribute to graffiti art and the people who made it, as they were graffiti artists themselves.
