New music by The Gold Setting. Fronted by Liza Colby, yesterday they premiered their second single “My Love” with Dork. A throwback to Motown with an updated feel and Cali groove, the track comes off their upcoming EP Volume and Tone, out 4/7.

Penned in the studio with Todd Simon (TV On The Radio, Lykke Li, Ghostface Killah) and produced by Adam Berg (Cee Lo, Alao Blacc), the EP was written during what was intended to be a quick trip to Los Angeles and ended up turning into a two week studio session. With vibes that channel 1960’s soul, 1990’s r&b, and Tine Turner-esque swagger, their forthcoming EP melds vintage instrumentation, bold electro-pop textures, + rugged beats with timeless Motown-tinged songcraft.
