Weird Together is a musical melting pot of talent. The 8-piece ensemble consists of two DJs, a vocalist, a two-piece horn section, a guitarist, a percussionist, and steel pannist. Their ethnic roots have global origins in Nigeria, South Sudan, South Africa, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, and New Zealand.

In “Ready For This,” lead vocalist Bianca passionately motivates the song’s call to action over the minimal backdrop of guitar plucking by The Gaza Tripp, the band’s string player. As the beat builds momentum, the percussion section strikes their booming hybrid sound: steel pans by New Zealander Izak Chads fuse with a digital melody and an all-out assault of drums that trigger a neck-breaking reaction. Needless to say, this jam will make you dance no matter what part of the world your in.
