Rather than jumping behind the mic for a quick freestyle, Rome Fortune and Villa worked with producer Lava Dome to craft a brand new record from scratch, the woozy, spaced-out “Hypnotism.”

Earlier this month, while our brand new studio was being constructed at our NY offices, we decided to take our booth on the road, renting out 512 Studios in Austin, Texas for several days during SXSW.

There we hosted an open studio session with our partners at Audiomack and Tunecore, extending an invitation to a handful of our favorite artists, from top tier names to some of the most buzzworthy up-and-comers, to slide through and record, all while documenting the entire experience.
