Mic Stewart x Reef the Lost Cauze – Kill ‘Em All [audio/video]

“Kill ‘Em All” is more of a 2-minute lyrical and sonic high-speed chase than a song. It’s an event. As the hip hop landscape ebbs and flows between traditional and non-conventional styles; dichotomies emerging like oceanic rifts between artists like Royce Da 5’9″ and eccentric contemporaries like Lil Uzi Vert, traditional forms of rapping and MC’ing have to constantly be contextualized for an ever-younger audience.

Rather than try to make a traditional Philly, battle-oriented rap song work for the conventional 3 verses and a hook framework, battle vets Reef the Lost Cauze and Mic Stew cut all the fat and boil it down to two undeniably rude verses with a brief refrain in lieu of a hook. #KillEmAll is an homage to disrespect.

The latest offering from Stew comes courtesy of the same production crew behind his other standout singles “I’m Not From Booklyn” and last year’s “All Black Chucks”. Philly’s quintessential battle-oriented style has never sounded more at home than over the grungy, overtly offensive SAMlive cut in “Kill ‘Em All”.
