The Broken Uglies consists of Stones Throw/Isolated Wax rhymer Dave Dub and Isolated Wax/No Face Cult wordsmith Haez One. The band of brothers came together a few years back on a musical excursion that cost them both their freedom at times and almost their sanity and lives. Collectively they’ve shared the stage with everyone from Kool Keith to E-40 and it seems like was all just a prelude to now. They’ve collaborated with the likes of Equipto, Awol One, Self Jupiter (Freestyle Fellowship) and many more.

Here we are, in 2016, and the band is dropping their second single Non Human produced by San Diego producer Trust One. Essentially, the track comes across as a war cry rallying against non conformity. Voices of reason, brutal honesty and truth. It comes from the perspective of blindfold-less freethinkers shedding light on the blinded masses, but if you asked the band themselves they’d probably reply “we do it for kicks”.
