Credit to the Nation – L.T.D. ft. Keith Murray & Benji Webbe [audio]
British hip-hop pioneers Credit to the Nation deliver a new track today, “L.T.D.” featuring Keith Murray and Benji Webbe of Skindred.
The band are gearing up to release a new EP entitled ‘Back to the Dirt’ on December 4, which will be a prelude to a new album scheduled for early 2016, their first in 20 years.
Credit to the Nation (emcee Fusion and producer Crossflow), were one of the first commercial British hip-hop acts in the early 90s, with hit singles such as “Call It What You Want” and “Teenage Sensation”. They were recognized as one of the most influential and controversial rap groups, with numerous hits that tackled weighty issues such as sexism, racism, homophobia and politics.
“L.T.D.”, produced by Crossflow, sees Credit team with Benji Webbe from the popular UK band/Welsh ragga-metal act Skindred, and acclaimed hip-hop artist Keith Murray. New York native, Murray rose to prominence in 1994 with his debut single, an all-time hip hop anthem “The Most Beautifullest Thing in This World” and several chart topping collaborations such as R. Kelly “Home Alone” and Mary J. Blige “Happy”. Murray is also one of the founding members of famed hip-hop group Def Squad, along with Redman and former EPMD member Erick Sermon.
