Hailing from Los Angeles and currently based out of Santiago, Chile, producer Brian Gibbs writes tracks under a number of aliases spanning a myriad of genres, including techno, dubstep, and drum and bass. His work under the moniker Gunjack (@gunjackofficial) focuses on the realm of juke and footwork. (Gibbs is also the head of Chilean juke record label Repotrax, and has previously worked with footwork originator Traxman, and shared bills with Teklife’s DJ Spinn.)

Today, we’re premiering Gunjack’s “Is It A Crime,” a cut of the forthcoming third volume of Moveltraxx’s Street Bangers Factory series. Gunjack previously appeared on the first edition of the series with “Dangerous,” and now he returns with a collaboration featuring producer DIRT. The two first met on tour in California a couple years back. Gunjack tell us over email that “DIRT traveled specifically to Santiago to finish the track.” Gunjack and DIRT flip Sade’s “Is It A Crime,” looping the original’s hook and add footwork flavored percussion under.
