Today marks the official release of “Pork Belly”, the animated video for the lead single off the new Grizzly Gato upcoming debut album “While You Were Sleeping” on Sub-Bombin Records. The mystique of Grizzly Gato, a recluse underground NY hip-hop group comprised of emcee/producer Grizzly Grimace & emcee Oddy Gato continues, with this upbeat joint encrypted with sharp-tongued wit- each rapper photo shopped with super human strength and spewing that filth.

New York hip-hop is back like it never left, leaving a trail of bread crumbs from the Boogie Down BX to Long Island, up to Albany and everywhere else in between. Two native NY emcees, Grizzly Grimace & Oddy Gato, have joined forces to create a double headed monster of an album, Grizzly Gato “While You Were Sleeping”, which is due out later this month.

Already leaving their residue on the internets back in November last year with their palate wetter, “Vs Donnie Wahlberg” the group returns with a four course meal of an official debut album, which will be available on vinyl, CD, digitally and everything else that is capable of playing music VERY SOON.

Produced entirely by Grizzly Grimace, with one lone guest = elsphinx (and perhaps a secret track featuring Homeboy Sandman)…this 12 joint rarity will be accompanied by a barrage of visuals and announcements – so not checking it out is not really an option for you at this time. The combination of gruff voices, eccentric personality, solid production and b-boy craftsmanship makes Grizzly Gato a must-listen for all the fans who are tired of sleeping while others were working.
