Bay Area digital arts college, Ex’pression, is one of leading audio/recording schools, providing a creative and inspirational environment for their students to cultivate their passion. Recently, Ex’pression, has joined forces with various artists, musicians, and producers from the Bay Area and beyond to come into their studios, use their equipment, interact w/ their students and work on current and upcoming projects. Ex’pression’s new video series “Artist In Residence” is proud to first showcase two rising San Francisco talents, A-1 and Mikos Da Gawd. A-1 recently released his project “Thurlian” to critical acclaim and Mikos Da Gawd has released a steady supply of quality instrumental projects while also being a part of the Soulection artist roster.

Today, we’re proud to showcase Ex’pression’s first “Artist in Residence” video featuring A-1 & Mikos Da Gawd as they worked with their students in their studios, while creating an alternative acoustic piano version of A-1’s title track to his latest project “Thurlian.” With Mikos Da Gawd on the piano, their acoustic version of “Thurlian” is a fresh take on the original version.
