Apollo Brown & Ras Kass unleashed “Blasphemy” two weeks ago and things haven’t stopped since. First they headed to New York for a press run, dropping by Sway In Morning, then they threw a release party with Large Pro and DJ Spinna as special guests, along with some celebrity drop-ins from Ice-T and Coco as well as racing legend Marco Andretti. The next day was a series of great interviews before heading to Tony Touch’s for Toca Tuesdays. The week continued with non-stop radio and press before finishing up with DJ Premier at HeadQCourterz . That was just the first week.

During the second week, the duo headed back Cali to shoot some new visuals and drop by B-Real TV. With the whirlwind still in motion, Apollo Brown & Ras Kass walk into week three with a new video for the track “How To Kill God.” Directed by Jay Brown and shot in Detroit, “How To Kill God” captures some fallen bastions of American ideology, while Ras & Apollo roam historic sites that have long since been abandoned (the original Model-T assembly line, the outside of a foreclosed Detroit Masonic Temple, and inside a cathedral that just since shooting was closed to the public because of decay).

Ras Kass spits brutal bars that harken back to “Nature of the Threat” from his original classic “Soul On Ice.” Meanwhile Apollo Brown delivers soul stirring boom bap at it’s best for Ras to lay question after question, and bar after bar of articulate insight into historical facts too often ignored. Don’t let the title fool you, it’s not Ras & Apollo killing God, it’s them exposing the hypocrites standing behind empty dogma.
