Southland rapper Loose Logic is back with a second full length album, Perception. Like his past work, this album mines the landscape of Loose Logic’s world, from the horrific suicide of an ex-girlfriend to the astonishing birth of his baby daughter. The result is something more refined and mature than his past work–but still something everyone can relate to.

“Everything is about where you are in your life,” explains Loose Logic. “I’m in a really different place, so my perception is different.”

Loose Logic isn’t new to the game. His 2010 debut album, Logistics, featured Jay Rock, RBX. Prior to Logistics, he released an EP, Before the Storm, which earned him a nomination for best “Hip-Hop of the Year” at the 2008 L.A. Music Awards. He’s been featured in the Orange County Register, OC Weekly, Huntington Beach Gazette, Survivingthegoldenage, Exclaim!, Music Connection magazine and more.
