Today marks the first release of the newly formed partnership between Revive Music and Blue Note Records for the release of Otis Brown III’s “The Thought of You” album.

Over the years, Otis Brown III has built a name and reputation as one of today’s leading Jazz drummers, an invaluable sideman for the likes of Esperanza Spalding, Joe Lovano, Terence Blanchard, Oliver Lake, Somi and others. For Otis Brown III’s debut album, Otis assembled an all-star line-up which includes Robert Glasper, vocal guests including Bilal, Nikki Ross, and Gretchen Parlato and co-produced by Derrick Hodge.

In celebration of today’s album release, enjoy the opening track to the album “The Way (Truth & Life).” The tune was written by both Otis Brown III and Robert Glasper and features Brown on Drums and Cymbals, Glasper on Piano, John Ellis on Tenor Sax, Keyon Harrold on Trumpet and Ben Williams on Bass.
