On September 23rd, drummer Otis Brown III, will release his debut album “The Thought of You” via the newly formed partnership between Revive / Blue Note.

An invaluable sideman with the likes of Esperanza Spalding, Joe Lovano, Terence Blanchard, Somi, and others, “The Thought Of You” features an all-star cast of musicians and guests including Robert Glasper on piano, vocal appearances from Bilal, Nikki Ross, and Gretchen Parlato and is co-produced by Derrick Hodge (Robert Glasper Experiment).

Today, we’re happy to share the song “You’re Still The One” featuring vocalist Gretchen Parlato. A cover of Shania Twain, the song features Otis’s intricate drum work, Gretchen’s effortless vocals and Robert Glasper’s gentle, yet assertive, touch on the piano.
