Brighton, UK based duo, Anshuka, released their album “Broken Circuits” today. The official release date is next week but iTunes has the album a week early.

Today we’re happy to share the music video for the song “Mansions,” the lead single from the album.

“Mansions” is a song that gets to the heart of what Anushka are about. The song was inspired by a wild gig at an arts space in Manchester, UK called Antwerp Mansions, that was a squat and center of counter cultural energy in the 60s (Mick Jagger would frequent).

With it’s “Tear down the mansions’ refrain, it combines one of producers Max Wheeler’s lairier beats (bringing to mind UK garage, Basement Jaxx and Detroit Techno at the same time) and one of singers Victoria Port’s angriest moments of social criticism.
