On the heels of his highly touted ‘Dark Comedy’ LP, released last week via Mello Music Group, Los Angeles-based, Chicago- bred ‘art rapper’ Open Mike Eagle drops a video for “Doug Stamper” featuring Hannibal Buress. Shot, directed, and edited by Tamara Wofford with additional camera work by Deshaun Asberry, here’s what Open Mike had to say on the making of the video:

“Hannibal and I commissioned secret focus groups on Black Twitter to come up with some raps that would be genuinely helpful. There’s a vicious rumour going around that Amy Poehler wrote Hannibal’s verse, but that’s unfair and subtly racist. In memory of the God Doug Stamper.”
