Sonny Shotz “American Summer” [album]
Back in March, ex-Dean’s List frontman Sonny Shotz lit the fuse on his solo career with Danel Exodus, a debut set whose provocative spiritual themes doubtless surprised many fans of his collaborative work. On the sequel, the Boston spitter switches things up yet again, describing the experiences of several young characters over the course of an American Summer. The 14-track set comes on the heels of lead single “Neon Hooligans, which won a phenomenal 4-star average rating when it hit our front page along with the artist-directed visuals. Mac the Hand and OnCue are the sole guests on the LP, which boasts production by Albert Ryan,Ellis Tucker, JD Beats, Jove Beats and Mik Beats.
