First official release from Swedish art collective MELO on their new independent label MELO Collective Records. “Hollow” features the legendary rapper and lyricist Bahamadia from Philadelphia. Bahamadia released her critically acclaimed debut album Kollage in 1996, and has collaborated with artists such as The Roots, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Queen Latifah, GangStarr, Talib Kweli, Roni Size and many others. The single also features a remix by the multi-talented and celebrated producer and vocalist Georgia Anne Muldrow (US), and a live remix by experimental electronica/jazz duo Midaircondo (SE), as well as an extended instrumental version.

MELO Collective is a Stockholm-based group of dancers, artists, musicians and architects. Since 2005 they have created performances, installations and music – co-producing with Sweden’s major institutions and underground venues for contemporary performance and art. MELO Collective Records is their plattform for distributing their musical works and for unexpected artistic collaborations.
