Rapper and Super-Villain MOBONIX continues his stake in the rap game with his latest project Machine Man, due out April 15 on XIL Recordings. The new disc features beats by DOOM, MadLib, CX KidTronik, DJ Kool Akiem, DJ Wesu and Professor Ojo. The pre-release tour featured dates in the US with support from Mic Crenshaw in Las Vegas, New Mexico and SXSW to the European dates as support for DOOM in Paris, FR, Gent, Belguim, Bristol, Uk and Dublin Ireland.

Not many people remember that MOBONIX started out as a teen-aged public speaker and community organizer–and then he started rhyming, promoting and doing shows. As an early hip-hop promoter in Atlanta, he was the first to do parties and concerts with DJ Drama, Tony Touch and Common to name a few. MOBONIX original rhyme crew, the Universal Vibe Squad (UVS), included his group, the Fat Rhyme Sector, the Micranots and Budah Tye.

MOBONIX did his first show with DOOM, in Miami. MOBONIX emceed while DOOM deejayed, at a URB magazine party at the Sky Bar in South Beach. What followed was MOBONIX being featured on DOOM’s “Live from Planet X tour” and spot dates and festivals in the U.S. and Europe. MOBONIX was also featured on the posse cut “Supervillainz” alongside DOOM, Kurious, Slug and Posdnuos from De la Soul.

All leading ultimately to MOBONIX joining the super-secret……………………..METAL FACE AKADEMY.

Along with the LP, there will be a limited -edition “Machine Man” Digipak with 8-page Rhyme Book inside.
