Bay Area rapper, singer and community activist, Hazel Rose, shares her first single from her debut solo LP “9 Lives” for the song “Heartbeat.” Formerly a member of the Bay Area hip hop group, 40 Love, Hazel Rose embarks on a new direction and sound with her upcoming LP which is demonstrated by “Heartbeat.” Produced by Stylo, known for his production with Los Rakas, the video was directed by Nelson G. Navarrete with cinematography by Claudio Napolitano.

“Heartbeat” is the first single from my debut solo LP “9 Lives”. The album travels through phases of the heart like phases of the moon, through love, heartbreak, and healing. The first phase of my heart I want to share is transformation, because music saved me and when I needed it most. The song is produced by Stylo, known for his production with Los Rakas, and the video is directed by Nelson G. Navarrete with cinematography by Claudio Napolitano. Look out for the album “9 Lives” coming in 2014 and my upcoming single “Robotic”.
