Klassik – Boogie [video + audio]
Yes, you can blame it on the Boogie.
Leveraging his recent success as the Wisconsin Area Music Industry’s 2013 Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Klassik, the self-proclaimed “old-soul†remains true to his unorthodox style by challenging the boundaries of hip hop on the new single “Boogie.â€
The upbeat anthem is self-produced and features a sanguine sampling of the Jackson 5’s “Blame it on the Boogie” an appropriate lead single for “Young Rising Phenom” which provides an introspective story of the growth and progression of Klassik as an artist. The video begins with a strobe light-like repetition of Jackson’s words until Klassik’s keen vocals introduce the beat drop. For more than four minutes you are driven through a frenzy of satirical metaphors and elaborate wordplay that is sure to get you out of your seat and onto the dancefloor.
The video is an innate boogie experience that incorporates the intrigue of a gorgeous lady and the excitement of an idealized contemporary disco. The video also features dancing from Christopher Gilbert and Natalia Taylor. It is directed by Mark Gage of Daily Dopness. The video as well as the entire project is sponsored by Moda3, Milwaukee’s premier street-snow-skate wear shop.
YRP is set to be released on December 13th via www.iamklassik.com and will be celebrated with a release show in Milwaukee at Fire on Water that same day.
