After five years as a music blog, Fresh Selects announces its first ever official label release today. Kicking off its new series of cassette re-issues of the label’s favorite free projects alongside new and original projects, will be a re-release of Breatharian – a concept-heavy instrumental project by L.A. producer, Mndsgn.

While still receiving recognition for his DIY releases and collaborations with the likes of Jonwayne, Blu, Sonnymoon, Zeroh, Knxwledge, and more – Mndsgn still remains one of the beat scene’s best kept secrets. This re-issue of his most recent project will serve as his first retail release in over 4 years and the start of a new chapter in his prolific catalog.

Available on November 12th, the Breatharian project has now been mixed & mastered for the first time, and will be released with added bonus tracks, artwork & liner notes – with guest remixes, music videos & more still to come.

To celebrate the album launch, Mnd has put together a promo mix – Frugal Earth Vol. Two, which matches some choice sample & break selections along with all new edits and remixes. The mix will be available as a free download exclusively with the purchase of the breatharian tape.

A stream of the first half (Side A) of Frugal 2 was released today, along with a free download of one its standout selections – a new Mndsgn edit of Phyllis Hyman’s Bobby Caldwell cover, “What You Won’t Do For Love.”
