Hooray for new side projects! We’ve known about this one for a while (because we’re cool like that), but the cat is finally out of the bag as QN5’s superproducer, Kno, has teamed up with the incomparable Anna Wise (Sonnymoon, Kendrick Lamar), Seattle songstress Zoe Wick & Virginia’s Dane Ferguson to form a supergroup to be known as Built To Fade.

The Kno & Nathan Corrona-directed clip for “Willie Sutton” is the group’s first single taken from their forthcoming debut album, To Dust – set for release via APOS Music on 11.12.13. Here, Kno’s burnt spaghetti western-laced break beat fusion provides a properly slow-roasted sound bed for Wick’s twangy fragility and Wise’s sultry listlessness. (Wick & Wise!). Needless to say, this one’s an absolute ringer and fans of Portishead, Sneaker Pimps or U.N.K.L.E. have now been put on notice.
