EPP – Chrome Plated Chronicles [album premiere]
Portland has been waiting on this one for a long time now.
And so has the rest of the world, they just didn’t know it yet.
One of the Pacific NW’s most naturally talented MC’s, Epp, has been a visible part of the rap scene here for almost a decade now, & until just recently, as a member of the trio, TxE,
has notoriously had no releases to his name. He’s kind of the cameo king around these parts, appearing on seminal projects by all the town favorites Illmaculate, Cassow, Cool Nutz, Radiation City you name an artist from here & Epp has most likely at least done a hook or two for em, even landing placements with out-of-town heavyweights like Planet Asia and Waajeed (on an upcoming single).
But through it all, still no solo album.
Until today, after a quiet lead-up campaign the last few weeks, & all of the city’s ears still perked in his direction Epp officially releases his solo debut, Chrome Plated Chronicles.
And, almost as if it were making up for lost time, the project is about as solo an effort as it could get with zero guest appearances or features, and all of the production handled in-house
by his longtime collaborators, Green Team CPC is a strong and consistent stand-alone album you can listen to from front-to-back all the way through, & one that only gets better upon repeated listens.
