Michigan producer 14KT is preparing to release his newest project “Nickel & Dimed” (9/3), a 15 track instrumental album featuring a bonus vocal versions Ep featuring Blu, Black Milk, MED, Kokane, JMSN, Jamall Bufford (Buff1), Ozay Moore (Othello). The first single, “Crown” featuring Black Milk & MED debuted today on MTVhive who said: “a neck-breaker of a track accentuated by a sharp boom-bap drum loop, wavering synthesizers, and fuzzy guitar lines. The “Crown,” in this case, sits firmly atop the head of 14KT, an apostle of J Dilla’s school of beats. It’s a banger, sure, but it’s also meticulously layered, composed, and textured much like the remainder of Nickel & Dimed.”
