Wrekonize, the Miami rhymesayer who rose to prominence as frontman of Booth-acclaimed live-band hip-hop crew ¡MAYDAY!, is preparing to venture into solo territory with Strange Music debut full-length The War Within. Preceded by February’s The Rooftops Mixtape, the LP boasts 17 tracks’ worth of original material, including “Anxiety Attacks,” “We Got Soul” and the DJBooth-premiered “Freak.” Throughout the set, Wrek is joined on the mic by Bernz, Bun B,Crooked I, Liz Suwandi, Posdnuos and label boss Tech N9ne.
