Last, but certainly not least in this series of new, unreleased music in celebration of Sportn’ Life Records 10 year anniversary, we are excited to give you “Over Emotional” from to the latest group to sign with the label; Larry Hawkins & Davey Jones. Larry (formerly SK) partnered with his childhood friend Davith, and the result is a refreshing, soulful duo that is creating a forward looking sound.

“Over Emotional” tells the story of a supportive friend that is trying to lend a hand to a girl who is under-valued and as a result is on an emotional roller coaster. “If they don’t appreciate you, there’s someone who will, trust me this I know” croons Jones’ words of encouragement. “I enjoyed just writing about someone else’s story for once instead of writing about my own personal experience.” With a natural ear for production, the MC of the pair, Larry rides the beat with a smooth yet commanding approach. All this adds up to a solid first offering from this promising new Sportn’ Life duo.
