Voice presents “CuTZ” ft. P.u.d.g.e., Saddi Khali and more **Video**
New Orleans emcee Voice presents CuTZ, 11 tracks that showcase the many styles of the Los Angeles transplant with the sultry, striking flow best known for her work on French trip-hop producer Wax Tailor’s 2007 silver-certified Decon release Hope & Sorrow as well as her 2006 album Gumbo (PTR/Featherperm). CuTZ presents original beats from the likes of Low End Theory regular P.U.D.G.E., Belgian veteran DJ Grazzhoppa and Canadian astronaut Moonstarr side by side with repurposed instrumentals from The Doppelgangaz, Lex Luger and more. The languid, loungey first single “Abundant Fate†features a soulful hook from singer Indigo, P.U.D.G.E. lends a guest verse as well as production duties to the gothic “Silkwormâ€, and poet Saddi Khali appears on the tribal thump of “How Can I Luv Uâ€. “NOLA Reduxâ€, her collaboration with L.A. rapper, Malkovich made the top of Gilles Peterson’s Best Hip-Hop of 2009 list, and between her solo releases and her collaborations with BBE, Ninja Tune, Canada’s Public Transit Recordings, UK’s Twisted Funk Records and Tailor, she can be heard on over a quarter of a million records worldwide. CuTZ is out now on High Bar Entertainment.
