:::FREE FRIDAY::: This weeks free download is titled, “Imogen” (ha) and it comes out of the “rough idea bin” from ‘05. DOWNLOAD HERE Stro and I were working on my second solo album, “Friends Enemies Apples Apples” and trying desperately to get, a then “lesser” known singer, Imogen Heap involved.

We originally had her sampled for the “Holding On” single and got REAL close to having her on the album. However, she got HELLA popular (as she should) and well, I didn’t. All went well though, Tara Ellis saved the day!! I think she did an incredible job on the hook, her melodies hit the spot directly, and I am very grateful! (Even if I think that album got slept on- heehaw)

Anyway, this track is one of the many roughs Stro made searching for the right sound, before landing on “Holding On”. Yes, we sampled “Hide and Seek” and yes it was way before that other rapper/singer dude did. (heehaw- again)
