Rashad & Confidence, two longtime students of the game, finally drop their long-awaited debut album The Element of Surprise through Ill Adrenaline Records. This up-and-coming emcee/producer duo, hailing from Brooklyn and Philly respectively, merge to create a record with a timeless sound, reminiscent of hip-hop’s golden era, with a fresh, updated feel. Without any guest appearances or other producers involved, the duo take it back to the days of Gang Starr and Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth. This release is available as both a digital download and physical CD. In promotion for the lp, the duo have made the album track “Understand” available as a complimentary download.
