Unknown Prophets are back with a new track off their upcoming WP2 album, titled “New Day”.

Two years since releasing their hip hop/rock heavy album Le System D, the Unknown Prophets are back with an album reminiscent of the style and sound that made them a recognizable group in the underground hip hop world. New Day is the first official single from their forthcoming album WP2.The album takes it’s name from this Twin Cities trio’s first album, World Premier, which they released just over a decade ago.

Over a DJ Premier-esque beat rappers MaD SoN and Big Jess take turns describing the events that brought them to this point in their lives. Adapting to the challenges; facing set-backs and accomplishments, and sharing in the joys of being proud fathers. The song embodies the true essence of the groups’ passion for family and a ‘never give up’ attitude.

Unknown Prophets will celebrate the release of WP2 on 11.11.11 at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis.
